| Code of Sporting Ethics |
|
As ambassadors of Christ and representatives of our
outdoors sports tradition, all members of the Christian
Outdoor Alliance solemnly pledge that, while engaged in
outdoor sporting activities, we will always endeavor:
|
- To speak truth, pay what we owe, and treat others
with courtesy and respect,
- To obey all game laws and regulations, and the rules
of landowners, outfitters, event organizers, and others
in authority,
- To make good use of the game we harvest,
- To endeavor to leave the land, equipment and other
resources better than they were when we found them,
- To be good stewards of the Lord's creation, treating
the animals and land with the utmost care and respect,
- To never get drunk or use illicit drugs,
- To maintain the highest levels of safety, especially
when handling firearms,
- To never engage in immoral behavior or speak in an
unwholesome way
- To work both in word and action to convey these
ethics to current and future generations,
- To take the time to pass on to others the lessons we
have learned in the outdoors.
